TV actress Mona Wasu crowned Jungle Queen of 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao'

TV actress Mona Wasu crowned Jungle Queen of 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao'

After two months of performing deadly stunts and struggling to survive in Malaysia's largest tropical rain forest, TV actress Mona Wasu was voted and crowned the 'Jungle Queen' Friday at the grand finale of Sony TV's 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao' reality show.

'I am very thankful to the audience for recognising my fight and struggle throughout the show,' Mona said after the results were announced.

The actress, who became a popular face after featuring in shows like 'Mili' and 'Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi', walked the red carpet, sat on a grand red throne and was crowned the 'Jungle Queen' by first runner-up, actor Chetan Hansraj.

Pop singer Anaid bagged the second runner-up position.

Mona walked away with a cash prize of Rs.1 crore. She intends to invest it in a house in Mumbai.

Before the results were announced, Mona said she was confident of making it to the finals since the beginning of the show and that this has been the 'hardest and most exciting phase of her life'.

'Iss Jungle Se...' had around 15 celebrity participants stayed together in unusual circumstances, swapping their lives of luxury for the tough terrain of the Taman Negara tropical rain forest in Malaysia. They ate mice, tarantulas and faced many creepy crawlies as part of some dangerous tasks on the show.

The show was an adaptation of ITV Global Entertainment's 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!'.

Who will win Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao?

Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao gets its Finalists

Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao gets its Finalists

Finally, the unexpected has happened, which proves that there is God after all!!

There is God after all. Akashhdeep Saigal will finally be eliminated in tonight's episode of Sony's Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao.

The viewers have been putting up with his obnoxious behavior for the past seven weeks. Akashh's rantings and derogatory remarks against the other contestants, mostly the girls in the camp and women in general have not been taken very kindly by people outside. For instance, my
journalist-colleagues can't wait to give Akashh a taste of his own medicine when he comes back home.

So why are we happy to see Akashh out? Sample this: 'Women should stay within limits', 'In sab ne Nestle ka doodh piya hai, maa ka doodh kisine nahin piya', 'Anaida, who's going to marry you? How will you have kids?', 'Aman should be made to sit at home like a handicapped person. Even my dog can defeat him in any jungle task' etc etc…we have
been hearing Akashh say all this and more and get away with it. One had already given up hope in the viewers as Akashh got saved week after week despite his crude, rude, arrogant behavior.

The bad boy of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi strutted and swaggered as if he was God's gift to mankind. While on one hand he claimed to revere his mother ("I touch her feet four times a day") and elder sister, on the other hand he didn't think twice before making hell for his jungle mates, especially Mona Vasu and Anaida. His unflattering
remarks against Anaida specially showed the class he came from and the upbringing he might have had. We would really like to wish all the luck to his girlfriend.

He behaved so out of control that one had almost begun to think he was "acting" as per the channel's brief. When his friend and "big brother" Marc Robinson was eliminated from the jungle, we asked him if Akashh's behavior was all orchestrated. Marc said then, "I don't know. May be
you have given the answer. If he was really degrading towards women and he really thinks about women like that, then he is no longer my friend. I wish he had stopped firing off Chetan's (Hansraj) shoulder."

Ever since Jay Bhanushali's elimination on Monday and the audio visual footage shown to the other contestants, about what everyone thought of Akashh, he seemed to have realized the damage he had done to his 'image,' the 'bad picture' that had gone out to the world. He had
withdrawn into a shell as he kept mum, possibly introspecting about his stay in the jungle, possibly how he himself was to blame for ruining his chances of winning the show, for possibly finally realizing that no matter how thick he was with Chetan, ultimately there could be just one winner and how that winner may not be him.

We also object to the way Akashh spoke about Aman Verma who all said and done is his senior in the industry and at least more dignified. Akashh's only claim to fame to date was his much-talked-about character of Ansh Gujral in Kyunki and after tonight's elimination, he would always be remembered as the bad boy who never grew up, who made a nuisance of himself and last but not the least, who dug his own grave.

Akashdeep eliminated from jungle

Akashdeep eliminated from jungle

Its quite shocking elimination tonight on Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao as Akashdeep Saigal bids adieu to the audiences due to less votes. Many of the co-contestants who were with him and also the one who were out couldn’t believe that he is out of the show.

“It was believed that Aakash may come out as a winner from the jungle but tonight he will be voted out from the show,” chirps the source. Elaborating more on Akash, our khabroo adds, “Aakash had been creating problem since long. He had tiffs with almost all of them and was not able to adjust with others. In other words he was left all alone.”

“We saw many faces of his in the show. He was also a good performer and has carried out his task well. Though the girls were quite happy with the ouster of Aaksah but somewhere now Chetan felt alone in the Jungle,” concludes the source. The finale is taking place on Friday so get ready to see more masala coming this weekend.

Drinking goat brain mixed with blood was tough

Drinking goat brain mixed with blood was tough

'I don't think my wife and children will let me go there again'

'Hunger makes a man do a lot of things he wouldn't otherwise'

'Mona Wasu is turning out to be a true leader'

Model-turned-choreographer Marc Robinson became the latest celebrity to be evicted from reality TV show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao last week. He was pitted against Mona Wasu in the final fight.

Marc talks to Rajul Hegde about his experience in the jungle and much more.

Why did you decide to take part in a reality show?

I have been in the fashion industry for more than 20 years and have tried almost everything from modelling to films. But this was one thing I haven't done. It was an ultimate reality show to test your endurance.

How easy was it to have those weird concoctions because you made it seem so effortless?

When I look back and think about those things, even I feel weird. But somehow we managed to eat those things. Before I went on the show, people had warned me about the weird stuff I would have to eat. Some models even asked me if I had checked out the videos on You Tube. I just remembered what my DJ friend had said during the task -- that a Bandra boy can eat anything you give him on the plate. I guess that is what happened during the show.

What were the most difficult thing to eat in the show?

I had to drink a concoction of fish guts. That was a thick slush. That was the yuckiest thing I had to swallow.

But the most difficult one is during a tie between Chetan [Hansraj] and I. We had to drink something that looked like a milkshake to win the tie. When stirred it turned pink. They told us that it was goat brain mixed with blood. I really don't know how we managed to drink it. I lost the tie because some parts of the brain got stuck in my mouth.
Would you like to go back on the show?

Well. It was a lifetime experience but I don't think my wife and children will let me go there again.

What did you learn from the jungle experience?

The show gave me time for self-introspection and realisation. It made me realise that 80 percent of the stuff we spend time on in the city is useless. Jungle life is healthier. After taking part in this show, my family has become more important for me. I can't tell you how much I missed them.

I also managed to lose 11 kilos of weight in a good way. That would have not been possible in Mumbai.

Why is Akashdeep Saighal so abusive on the show? Was he briefed to do so?

I really do not know why he is behaving in such a way. If he is playing the game to get the votes or TRPs, then it's fine because most of them are playing games. I hope that he doesn't behave like this in real life. If he does then I wouldn't like to be associated with him because his statements are derogatory. But I must say that hunger makes a man do a lot of things he wouldn't otherwise. A growling stomach has become a growling mouth [smiles].

Did you dislike anyone in the jungle?

I had requested all contestants to treat this as a game and nothing else. That would make life easier for everyone and I think I managed to do that. Chetan and I really hit it off during the show. We knew each other earlier, but became good friends during this show. I do not hate anyone because it's a strong emotion, which I have reserved for my wife, as I can hate a person only when I love him or her.

Who do you think will win?

Like I said, Chetan is a friend and I would definitely want him to win. He is an intelligent guy with a big heart. But I doubt whether he will be able to make it to the end. He has a weak mind and is letting Akash fire from his shoulders.

Mona Wasu is turning out to be a true leader because she is physically and mentally fit. I would be happy if a girl/woman wins because a lot of children have been watching the show. It will give show them that girls are no less physically stronger than men.

Just a couple of days ago I went to drop off my daughter to her ballet classes and her friends, on seeing me, asked her why I was out of jungle. She said that I lost the Maha Jungle Challenge to a girl and then cheered and said 'girl power'. That made me proud and victorious because it's a step forward. I want a girl to win the show because I have a daughter.

Kashmira can't tolerate co-campers of Iss Jungle!

Kashmira can't tolerate co-campers of Iss Jungle!

After killing everyone’s happiness in Malaysian jungle, our lovable trouble-baby- Kashmira is happily back in the town. She is glad to break the pretentious happy jungle family, and shares her view on the jungle and its junglees with us.

What was the purpose of the secret mission?

They were all pretending to be like a happy family and would act upset when somebody is in the bottom two. They would not have come up in open, had I not gone and told them what the other person is talking about them behind their back.

Do you think your purpose is attained on the show?

I think I did more than what was expected of me. They thought I will take two days to cause trouble, but it all started off from the day one!

Though you were on a mission, still you were made to live the harsh life of jungle, how was the experience?

Insect bites were so harsh… I can’t even wax my legs now, until the bite gets cured. At times we would get phantom bites, we don’t realize something is biting and would wake up itching. Worst was the food, we use to get one cup of soya and half cup of rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each one would get 4 tsp of rice and 4 tsp of soya, if some is left then again one fourth to each. We had only hot water to drink. I would only eat rice and give my soya to others.

How much did you know about the show before entering the jungle?

Yes, I use to follow the show and had fair idea of what is happening in the jungle. Though they kept saying that I would be happy Marc wins or Chetan wins, that’s not true, they will be only happy when they themselves would win.

What do you have to say about taking shower in bikini on national TV?

My option was to show up in bikini, or be dirty like Mona. As clothes would take three days to dry there, and also it use to rain frequently, so it’s better to take shower in bikini. You cannot even use perfume , as the smell would attract insects.

Did your opinion change about any contestant after living with them in jungle?

First I thought Marc is playing a subtle game, as being a reality show contestant I like people who are upfront. But when I went inside I realized he wasn’t necessarily playing the game, and even if he was, he was fair enough. About Aman, even I was influenced by the sting operation, I found him to be a loser when he made excuses like tummy upset to not do the task and I thought that his injury was fake, but when he opened up with me I got to know that he is bottled up. He told me once that Marc was the head of the gang. Now as he has gone, these people are walking around like headless chickens. I thought Jai is sweet guy, but now I don’t respect him anymore. People treat him like servant there.

Who do you think was close to being genuine on the show?

Only genuine person was Mika, everything he did inside he does it outside also.

Who do you think can make it to the top three ?

Unfortunately, who would have made it to the finals are already out- Shweta, Aman and Marc. Seeing the current status, I think Mona, Chetan, and by default Jai will make it to the finals. I don’t think people want to vote for Akasheep Saigal anymore, and people find Anaida irritating, so they run no chance.

Are you comfortable being called a troublemaker?

That means most of the reality shows need me. I had not gone and made up things, I went and told them what I saw. My basic agenda was not to cause trouble, but to show the audience what it is. By the way, being a troublemaker on reality show is a very coveted position and I don’t think anybody else has it.

You made the jungle hell, but you left saying that you cannot live there?

Nobody was sad to see me go, because their attitude has become like raat ka khana aayega toh ek aur ka khana milega. So I said you guys are fighting petty things, I don’t want your money; I think I can’t be in that class.

Kashmera Shah sizzles in ' Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao '

Kashmera Shah sizzles in ' Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao '

After Negar Khan's ouster form the TV reality show 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao…' another hottie Kashmera Shah joined the bandwagon.

Negar Khan, who set the 'Iss Jungle…' show on fire, was replaced with the sizzling Bollywood actress Kashmera Shah.

Kashmera set the TV screen onfire with her under water scenes.

Well, it seems that Kashmera Shah entered the 'Iss Jungle…' to irritate the camp dwellers!

Rumours are around that Kashmera joined the camp to raise the TRP of the show.

Reasons don't matters for audience, but one thing was sure Kashmera was an eye candy for the other contestants and TV viewers during her stay in the Jungle.

It's 'Georgia Rule' in Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao

It's 'Georgia Rule' in Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao

If the latest happenings in Sony TV’s Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao is anything to go by, then the jungle is no longer ‘George’s’ territory. Instead the jungles are better handled by the ‘Georgias’.

Sony Entertainment Television's reality show Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao has reached a nail biting climax with only four very competitive contenders left – Aakash, Anaida, Chetan and Mona. Probably as a treat for holding up on this tough show till now, the contestants were taken for an outing to a nearby village.

Says our source, "The awesome foursome got to visit a nearby tribal village. On reaching the village, the camp members engaged in a number of activities. They also got to interact with the locals."

The tribal people shared with them some survival techniques essential to handle the jungle. Says the source, "The locals taught them build huts by weaving palm leaves together. They also taught them to make fire the primitive way. While all four of them tried their hands at creating fire the old-fashioned way, the girls beat the boys at it!"

If the trend continues, we might surely have a Jungle Queen and not a Jungle king.

Why Kashmira had a bikini bath in Iss Jungle se mujhe bachao

Why Kashmira had a bikini bath in Iss Jungle se mujhe bachao

Kashmira Shah is the latest celebrity to exit Sony Entertainment Television's Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao. The actress was apparently brought in to raise the show's TRPs and did it quite effectively. During her stay, she stirred things up quite considerably by creating friction between the contestants, and cooling off in a bikini bath.

She spoke to Rajul Hegde about her experience in the Malaysian jungles.

Do you think you lived up to the expectations of the channel?

I did more than exceed their expectations. They thought I would take two days to start trouble in the camp but it started on day one itself. People like Aman Verma were trying to sleep their way into the finals. Everyone was portrayed to be this one big happy family and would be sad when two people were in the bottom two. But Akashdeep Saighal and Chetan Hansraj were very happy that Marc Robinson got eliminated because they considered Anaida to be of the weaker sex, and that they would beat her in the finals. No one went on the show to let the other win.

You went there to create trouble but came out saying that people were fighting a lot.

That is for their sake. If I had not done that, Chetan's real self would not have come out. He threw the mike and said ever since I had gone in, they had begun fighting and before that everything was fine.
